A native of Richmond, Virginia, USA, Ms. Briceland is an accomplished hoch-dramatic soprano, as well as an excellent and innovative teacher of both singing and the Alexander Technique. She

received her Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude and with University Honors, from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and her Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She also attended the Alexander Technique School of New England and graduated in 2000 from the American Center for the Alexander Technique as a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique.
Ms. Briceland has taught voice at the New England Conservatory of Music to non-majors and at the Extension Divisions of both Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts. She taught a group class in the Alexander Technique at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City and has taught both voice and the Alexander Technique privately in New York City and Northern New Jersey for a number of years.
An active performer, Ms. Briceland has sung many operatic roles in performance, including Sieglinde, Elisabetta (Don Carlo), Amelia, Santuzza, Freia and Turandot. She has also participated in numerous concert performances around the United States.
